Effect of Biosynthesized Nanoselenium on Controlling Tomato Root-Knot Nematode Meloidogyne incognita

چکیده
Tomato is a globally important fruit crop, which easily susceptible to infection by plant-parasitic nematodes during growth. In this study, selenium nanoparticles were biosynthesized through the selenite reduction pathway in wild-type Pseudomonas stutzeri BB19 and characterized uniform nanostructured needle-like forms with an average size of 95.2 nm. The nematicidal effect (BioSeNPs) at different concentrations (2, 6, 10 ppm) pre- or post-infection tomato root-knot nematode (RKN), Meloidogyne incognita, was assessed under greenhouse conditions. BioSeNPs applied as foliar spray soil drench, compared ethoprophos nematicide (100 mL/pot). results showed that significantly reduced number galls, egg mass, eggs/egg mass M. incognita 94.2, 92.8, 49.8%, respectively. BioSeNPs, sprays, galls post-treated infected plants ppm pre-treated 2 91.9 91.4%, Concerning it 90.9%. Moreover, drench 43.3%. On other hand, considerably improved growth, chlorophyll b, carotenoid content, enzymes (i.e., catalase peroxidase) activity untreated (negative control). Hence, show significant application potential cost-effective environmentally friendly biocontrol agent for RKN management plants.

Effect of organic amendment on organic metabolites in root knot nematode (Meloidogyne Incognita) infested spinach
The Nematodes are roundworms that are found in every environment of the earth. While some species are harmful parasites, others play a vital role in nutrient cycle and medical research. Nematode infestation in the fields is poly-specific; however, depending on the agro-climatic conditions, one or two species are dominant over the rest. The present studies attempts to observe and control the roo...

This study examines the types of structural information that can be gained by utilizing the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and a cryofracture technique to examine the host-parasite interaction. Roots of tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum cv. Marglobe, were cultured aseptically and inoculated with the root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita. Twenty-four hours to four weeks after inoculation, ...

متن کاملRoot - knot nematode ( Meloidogyne incognita ) management using botanicals in tomato ( Lycopersicon esculentum )
Root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita, is the major limiting factor in tomato production in many regions of the world including Ethiopia. For its management, different plant species (botanicals) are being tried in different forms as an alternative to nematicides. The nematicidal potential of baker tree (Milletiaferruginea), bitter leaf (Vernonia amygodalina), parthenium (Parthenium hysterop...
